Q: How did you get into freestyling?

I have an older brother who used to practice his juggling skills (a bit of freestyle), so I really wanted to learn the basics because of him.

I, later on, stumbled upon an Instagram video of someone taking it to the next level! I thought it was so cool how someone could express themselves with just a ball.

Q: Did you play soccer before starting?

Yes! I played soccer my whole life; it’s a huge part of Latino culture, so I was always surrounded by it. I practice 6 days a week, depending on my schedule, for 1-4 hours a day.

Q: What inspires or motivates you when you are not feeling motivated?

Honestly, my freestyle friends motivate me. Seeing them training makes me want to train even though we’re miles apart. I also try to just jam out, I have to remind myself that sometimes it doesn’t have to be serious training.

Learning new things can be very scary, like very. But it’s normal to fear the unknown.

Q: What would you tell someone who is currently struggling on their own creative journey?

I’d probably say, don’t forget to have fun and don’t forget why you started. Take a step back from it, if needed, to gain a different perspective.
